My Favorite Beyond The Line Question

Question: What movies, books, plays, or TV shows did you see that held an oracle, or fortune teller?

Answer:
Did you ever think there could be someone in the world who could tell the future? Well, maybe not in real life, but I did witness them in a movie. The movie, "O Brother, Where Art Thou", is a funny movie about three men who escape prison and go through a lot on their journey to find a so called "treasure." I've seen an oracle on a TV show, "Courage the Cowardly Dog" to be exact. This is a show about a dog who faces problems but always comes out victorious. Last, I've read about an oracle, in the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The story of a young boy by the name of Huckleberry Finn, and all that he goes through with characters such as his father, Tom Sawyer, Miss Watson, Jim, and more.
First thing first, lets' talk about the hilarious movie "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou." This crazy movie contains a very interesting oracle. He's a blind African American male who finds the three main characters while going down the train tracks on a little wooden plank, with wheels, and a manual pedal. When we first meet our oracle that he stares ahead no matter what, we find out that he has no name but, indeed has a lot of wisdom. He tells our characters that they will witness a flood throughout the county, and that they will see a cow on the roof of a house. Does this really happen you ask? Yes! While one of our characters prays to God to just allow him to see his wife and kids one last time before he gets lynched, the county is flooded, and while they float in the water they noticed that there is a cow on the roof of a house. Well, I guess that oracle knew what he was talking about.
Lets' not stop there, there's another oracle that I know about who was on the TV show "Courage the Cowardly Dog." Now this oracle was very different from the other, for the fact that it was a girl, and a girl animal at that. She was a tiny dog with huge eyes, lots' of jewelry, some type of pinkish purple robe, and demanded money. We meet this oracle when Courage calls her up because things are going all wrong in his home, and he wanted to figure out what was going on. She told him as she gazed into her crystal ball that the grandma that had come to visit was friends with a ghost and together they were devising a plan to break up the marriage of her grandson and his wife. Was she right? Of course she was right, and she helped Courage to deal with the situation. He plays the role of a consular and talks with everyone including the ghost and solves the problem. He saves the marriage, sends grandma home, and unleashes the ghost to roam the earth.
Last, but not least, I read about an oracle in the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This oracle was like the first oracle in the ways that he was an African American male, but differed in the ways that he was a slave, and told people their fortune by using a hairball the size of your fist, which was taken out of the fourth stomach of an ox. It was said to have spirits inside that knew everything. We learned that the oracles name was Jim and we meet him when Huck finds out his father is in town, and wants to know the reason why. Jim tells him that the hairball spoke and that it said his father doesn't know what he's going to do. Sometimes he will stay, and sometimes he will leave, and it will be best that Huck just let him do whatever he wants. He says that his father has two angels, a black one that tells him to do bad things, and white one that does the opposite. Then he tells him some things that’s' going to happen to him like he's going to get married twice, that he's got to stay away from the water or he's going to get hung and other things.
In closing, I would like to say that oracles may be extremely helpful to people who need and desire to know their future for one reason or another. As we've read the oracle in the movie "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" was right about what he said was going to happen, and the oracle in the show "Courage the Cowardly Dog" really helped Courage to solve the issues going on in his home. Maybe you're wondering about if The Adventures of Huckleberry Finns' oracle was right, well, why don't you read the book, and you tell me if Jim was right. All in all, I want to ask you, the reader, a question. Do you believe oracles are real, if so have you ever met one, if not why don't you think that they're real?
