Favorite Part Of Thank You M'am

Mr. Romero please grade me on my Transitional words, and introduction!! Did you read the story "Thank You, M'am" by Langston Hughes? Well, I did and I enjoyed it a lot. My favorite part would have to consist of the climax. You want to know why? Then read on to find out!

First off, let me tell you what the climax is. The climax is kind of the turning point of the story. It's the part with the most action or where a character has to make a very important decision. From then own the story kind of settles down.

Now, that we have some facts about the climax, I'm going to tell you why I love it sooo much. This climax was different from others. This climax occurred at a quiet point in the story, usually it happens at a hyper and exiting time, but it didn't. The climax happens when Roger, one of the most important characters, had the chance to run out of Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones(the other major character)house with her huge pocketbook. I love this because it reminds me of a past experience that my friends and I encountered.

Next, let's talk about my experience. My friends and I were somewhere in which we had no business being. It just so happens that one of our friends Jamaican mother was there. Why she was there we didn't know, but what we did know is that we had to get out before she saw us. Guess what, it was too late, she spotted one of us. The rest of us could've ran but we didn't want to leave our friend to get in trouble alone. So, we all hesitantly showed our faces. She made us all get into her car and took us home all the while lecturing and making us feel bad.

In the end, we found out she wasn't going to tell our parents. So, because of the fact we didn't run, we didn't get in trouble. Just like Roger who didn't run and received ten dollars from Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones. Now you know favorite part of the story "Thank You M'am" by Langston Hughes. So now can go read the book and tell me yours!!

Class of 2012

Mr. Romero please grade me on my voice and conclusion!!
Do you plan to succeed in everything that you do? Well I do, I plan to graduate in the year 2012 from Constitution Highschool. There is no way that I can not graduate in 2012, you know why? Well I'll tell you, first because of my family, next because of all the motivation, and last because of all my self-expectations.

Let's begin by talking about my family. My family will not let me go on with life if I don't graduate. The are sooo strict when it comes to school, especially my mother. My mother is crazy about school. Her motto is if can't make good grades then you can't ask me for anything, but if you do everything you need to, I really can't deny you. She came up with with this order in which she keeps our home in line with. It is: God comes first, family is second , school is third, and everything else is incidental.

Now that I told you about my school crazed mother, let's start on my motivation. Basically, my motivation consist of going out and being able to do anything, and everything I want to do. I know that if I do everything I need to do to keep good grades and good behavior I can go and screw up at parties and at the mall. I really love going out with all my friends, but I know that I need to complete the important stuff first. I think everyone can understand that, right?

Last, but definitely not least, my self-expectations. My self-expectations are basically my goals. My goals are to:

  1. Get straight A's for the year.
  2. To never get a demerit.
  3. To always be on time for school.
  4. To learn all I can.
  5. And to leave an fabulous impression on all the teachers so they will forever remember me.

I basically keep my self in line when it comes to behavior and grades. I know that with my self expectations I can not go wrong. As long as I'm true to myself I that I will always come out on top no matter what.

In conclusion, I hope that you have learned, and have come to understand the reasons why I absolutely positively have to graduate in 2012. Now all I can say is I hope you succeed in everything that you do, because I know I will!!!

WHO SHOULD BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT?

Who do you think should be the next presidentof the United States of America? Well I'll tell you who I beleive should. Barack Obama is the man that we need to help us to come out victorious!! Some reasons that I think Obama is going to be a great president are because of his stance on immigration, and the war. Let us go further into detail.

Barack Obama feels that all people should be equal and treated respectfully. That includes immigrants. I believe that immigrants come to America for a reason, wether it's a push factor or a pull factor. The immigrants should not be turned away or given a difficult test just so they can get a green card so that they can be noticed as Americans but still be direspected by "natural Americans." Instead they should be welome with open arms by all our fellow Americans, and hopefully Obama will do as he says he will so that immigrants will not feel as though they made a bad choice by coming to America.

Barack Obama also feels as though we need to take the troops out of Iraq. After all what are they doing down in Iraq besides dying and being hurt unecessarily. I believe that this war should have been done with from the beginning, after all it really is an uncalled for war. Basically all the war is doing is weaking our nation because of the fact that we keep sending over more troops leaving us with very little of them to keep home base safe. The point of the war is very unclear for me to see, and i think that Obama is making the right choice by wanting to take the troops out of harms way so that the war will be over and issues can be settled more orderly and maturely!!

In conclusion, I believe that Obama is going to be a great president. Now it's your turn, you've read my veiws so who do you believeshould be the next president of the United States of Amerca??

Why I chose Constitution HS?

The reason I chose to come to Constitution HS is because it is a kind of like a historical based school. I believe that going to a historical school will help me to be better prepared to conquer my dream. My dream is to become the first African American female president of the United States of America. By going to a historical based school, I will be able to learn a whole lot more about history. Learning more about history will allow me to learn about the past presidents, and learning about them will help me to become a better president, because I will learn about all the mistakes and the successes that they encountered!!!!! In conclusion, I would like to say that I'm happy that I chose this highschool!!
